Life...

Life works in the most mysterious ways and I wanted to share. I recently got a call saying my beloved grandmother was very ill and might only have a few days. She had a stroke and a heart attack. This was devastating (as you might guess). Our 'Mamaw" is truly one of the most wonderful people I know. So everyone (and I mean everyone) rushed to be with her from all over the country. Her 5 children, 12 grandchildren and most of her 10 great-grandchildren came together to say their goodbyes. It was a profound moment in our lives. Fast-forward 2 days after the call and all of her grandchildren were sitting around her hospital bed playing Skip-Bo (her favorite game). Can you say miraculous recovery? I told her it was that or perhaps she concocted this plan just to get us there? And more importantly, I told her to pick an easier way to get us there next time. All I know is that the few days I just spent with her were some of the most wonderful moments of my life. Thankfully there is a good chance I'll see her again.

Love this photo, love this post!!! And I love your Mamaw! So happy that you had that precious time with her. One question: aren't there 12 grandchildren?
